That $40 PR package from a skincare brand cost me way more in the end

I bought into the hype around GlowFix's "clean beauty" launch after seeing influencers rave about it. Spent $40 on their starter set and my face broke out into a rash that took two weeks and a $75 dermatologist visit to fix. Their apology was a generic email with a 15% off coupon, which felt like a slap in the face. Has anyone else gotten burned by a brand's overhyped launch that they had to pay to recover from?

15% off a rash? That’s adding insult to injury.

Honestly, @alex_johnson said it perfectly - 15% off a rash is just insulting. But I gotta ask, did GlowFix ever actually admit their formula was the problem, or did they just blame it on your skin type? Tbh it sounds like they completely dodged responsibility and hoped you'd just go away. Ngl, that "clean beauty" label is starting to feel like a scam when brands use it to skip proper testing. Did you push them harder for a refund or did you just take the L and move on?
