Saw a local coffee shop's apology post go from cringe to actually decent in 48 hours

There's a shop called Brew Haven near me that posted a rant about a customer complaint on their Instagram story last Tuesday. At first it was all caps and blaming everyone else, but by Thursday they had a full apology up with a promise to refund anyone from that day. Did they just get a PR person on the phone, or do you think it took them that long to realize they looked bad?

You think they just had to wait for the owner to cool down? That's usually what happens with these small shops... they post in the heat of the moment, then when the backlash hits they finally sit down and think about it for a day or two. The fact they offered refunds tells me they probably got a lot of angry DMs or even calls from regulars who were embarrassed by the first post. Most business owners I've seen do this just panic at first, then realize they need to actually fix the problem instead of digging deeper. It's pretty common actually... especially with coffee shops that think they're part of the community but forget communities hold you accountable.

One thing though @thomas_martinez, a lot of these shops don't really panic post at first. They usually have a small group of loyal regulars who hype them up in the comments before the backlash even starts. That circle backfires hard when those same regulars realize they backed a bad take.
