Saw a fast food chain's 'apology' ad in a subway station and cringed in public
I was waiting for the train in Chicago last week and there was this massive billboard from a burger chain that had a food poisoning outbreak back in June. Their ad said something like 'we've listened and improved' with a stock photo of a lettuce leaf. I mean, a whole apology campaign on a sticky subway platform just felt sad. Has anyone else seen a brand try to fix their image in a really awkward place?

Three years ago my local car wash tried to apologize for scratching my bumper by sending me a coupon for a free wash on a postcard. I laughed so hard I nearly choked on my coffee because the fix was literally more of what broke my car in the first place. Sometimes I wonder if these corporate apologies are just trying to see how much embarrassment we can take before we quietly buy their product again.

Give them some credit though, at least they tried to make it right instead of just ignoring you completely lol.
