Remember when Pepsi tried that Kendall Jenner ad? Absolute trainwreck.

I used to think big brands could just throw money at crisis and fix ANYTHING. Then Pepsi dropped that ad in 2017 where Kendall Jenner handed a cop a Pepsi during a protest. People flipped OUT online. They pulled the ad in like 24 hours after getting roasted everywhere. But the damage was done. Made me realize NO amount of money can fix a tone-deaf message. Has anyone else seen a brand recover from a fail like that or do they just never fully bounce back?

Wait, didnt the whole thing feel like a parody of activism from the start? It was so out of touch it made me cringe instantly. Brands that survive this usually just shut up and move on, but Pepsi's rep still has a dent.

Wait, didn't that ad actually run for longer than a day before they pulled it? I swear it was up for almost a week before the backlash really blew up.
