Remember when apology videos were 2 minutes of silence and a logo?
I was digging through old fails from 2016 and the difference is wild, back then a brand just posted a screenshot of a text apology and people moved on, but now they're doing full cinematic productions with hired actors, which one actually works better for rebuilding trust, has anyone else noticed the shift?

And honestly the cinematic stuff feels like it works better on the surface but trust is built way slower than a single video, people are watching for actual change not just a good production. The short text apology at least felt honest in its awkwardness, like they were stumbling over their own screw up instead of hiring a team to polish the mess. Weirdly enough, the cheap lazy apology might stick more because it matches the cheap lazy mistake.
