PSA: That apology video with the sad piano music is becoming a red flag
Had a buddy who works in social media management tell me last week that brands are literally using a template for crisis apologies now, same structure every time. Why do they think adding a slow song makes people forget they got caught lying about their product?

Does the sad piano actually help anyone forgive a company faster, or does it just make people more annoyed that they’re being manipulated? I'd love to see some data on whether that music tricks people into thinking the apology is sincere or if it backfires every time. Seems like a lazy shortcut that brands keep using because nobody called them out on it yet.

Honestly, I totally agree with you on the manipulation part, that piano stuff just feels so fake and forced.
