Picked the cheap duct tape over the name brand at Home Depot and the brand's support page made me feel dumb
So I'm in Home Depot in Tucson 3 weeks ago, standing in that tape aisle for like 10 minutes. It was $6 for the no-name roll or $14 for the big brand one, and I went cheap because money is tight. The tape ripped on the second box I sealed and their website had a whole "troubleshooting" page basically saying my surface was dusty. Then their Twitter reply guy sent me a stock link and acted like the fault was mine for not watching a 4 minute video on tape prep. Why do these companies treat a basic product complaint like I personally failed a test?
Did you end up finding a tape that actually works? I used to roll my eyes at people who blamed the brand for stuff like this, but after getting burned on cheap tape myself I kinda get it now. When a basic product fails and their response is basically "watch this video and do better," that's on them, not you.
