Just read that a huge soda brand spent over $100 million on a failed flavor launch

Tbh, I was looking up old marketing flops for a video essay idea and found this on a business news site. The brand, let's call them 'FizzCo', launched a weird cucumber-lime soda a few years back. They did a massive ad push and store displays everywhere, but people just hated the taste. The crazy part is the article said they lost more than a hundred million dollars on the whole thing before they pulled it. Has anyone else seen a brand sink that much cash into something that flopped so hard?

Man, that's wild. I always figured these big companies had it all figured out with focus groups and stuff. But hearing about a hundred million down the drain for cucumber-lime fizzy water really shows how out of touch they can get. It reminds me of that clear cola from the 90s or those weird burger sauces nobody asked for. Sometimes it feels like they just throw a huge budget at a bad idea hoping that will make it work.

Right? It's like they're playing darts blindfolded with our money!

It's like they get stuck in a boardroom echo chamber. They forget regular people just want stuff that tastes good, not a science project.
