Just got a 20% off apology code from Chewy after they shipped my dog's food to the wrong state
Last Tuesday I ordered a 40 lb bag of kibble for my lab and the tracking showed it sitting in a Kansas City warehouse for 4 days before it vanished. When I called, the rep admitted they put my apartment number on a different label, then sent me a 20% off code and a $10 gift card like that fixes a hungry dog. I get that mistakes happen, but the "sorry here's a coupon" move feels like the default playbook for every brand now. Has a company ever actually fixed a shipping screwup for you, or is it just coupons forever?
Did they even offer to reship the food or just hand you a coupon? A code does nothing when your dog is sitting there waiting for dinner that never showed up. Real fix means getting the bag to your door, not making you pay again with a discount.
