Watched a coffee chain delete their apology post 90 minutes after posting it
I was on my phone at the laundromat on 5th Street last Tuesday when a coffee chain dropped an apology video for messing up a customer's name on a cup, and the comments were already at 4,000. The video lasted about 90 minutes before it vanished, no explanation, no follow up. I grabbed screenshots before it went down and sent them to three friends who all said they saw it too. What got me was the silence after, just a normal latte promo the next morning like nothing happened. It felt less like a fix and more like they were testing how fast people forget. Has a brand ever pulled something this fast in front of you, and did you bother saving proof?
Deleted a post 90 minutes later and everyone acts like it's some big cover-up? Come on. Companies delete stuff all the time because legal or the boss gets nervous, not because they're running some mind control test on us. My guess is some intern posted it without approval and got told to yank it, that's it. Saving screenshots of a coffee chain's apology is a lot of effort for something we'll all forget by Friday anyway.
