The time I tried to get a refund from that 'Forever Fresh' meal kit company

It started when a box arrived with a leaky chicken package, which was bad enough. I called customer service, and they said they'd email a return label within 24 hours. A week later, nothing. I called back, got transferred three times, and was told the label was 'in the system.' After two more weeks of back-and-forth emails where they kept asking for the same order number and photos I'd already sent, I finally got a supervisor on the line. The whole refund process, for a $89 box, took 23 days from first report to money in my account. Their social media team was posting happy customer quotes the whole time. What's the longest a simple refund has taken you guys with a company?

Was it even worth the stress for $89? Some companies just bank on you giving up.

Took me six weeks to get $12 back from a coffee subscription, felt like a part-time job.

bell.laura, I gotta ask - was that coffee any good? Because six weeks for twelve bucks seems like you were more committed than they were. But honestly, 23 days for $89? You spent almost a whole month arguing over what, like two takeout dinners? These companies know most people will just eat the loss after the first or second email, so they drag it out hoping you cave. I've lost track of how many times I've just given up on a $35 thing because dealing with their customer service felt like a whole other part-time job.
