That Kylie Jenner lip kit I swore was a scam turned out legit

I saw the whole thing blow up on Twitter back in 2016, figured it was just another celeb cash grab. Then my cousin Rachel bought the Candy K shade last fall at the Ulta in Portland, and I tried it on a dare. Three hours later through tacos and coffee, that stuff barely budged. Has anyone else had a brand moment where you totally expected garbage but got something decent?

Oh man, same here. I had written off the whole Kylie brand as just hype from teens on Instagram. But then my sister left her Candy K at my place and I tried it during a long work day. That stuff survived a greasy burrito and two coffees without even flaking. Felt weird admitting I was wrong about it. The formula really surprised me, especially for the price at the drugstore when they stock it. I get why people still talk about those lip kits years later.

That burrito story is making me laugh because I had a similar moment but with a different brand. I was at a friend's wedding and had to give a speech, and my lipstick literally stayed perfect through a glass of champagne, a piece of cake, and me nervously chewing my lip for five minutes. I thought all liquid lipsticks were that bulletproof until I tried a cheap one from the drugstore and it crumbled off like old paint within an hour lol.

Did you try the matte formula or the gloss? I was honestly shocked how long the liquid lipstick stayed on when I finally gave in and bought one.
