Spent $150 on that 'ethical' clothing brand's new line

Bought three shirts from a company that talked big about sustainability and fair wages. First wash and the seams on two of them started unraveling. Checked the tags and they're made in the same factory as the cheap stuff at the mall. Total waste of money and time dealing with their return process. Anyone else get burned by a brand that talks a good game but delivers junk?

Honestly my friend paid $200 for their denim jacket and the zipper broke in a week.

The exact same thing happened to me with a $250 jacket I got last year, the stitching on the zipper just gave out after a week. It's crazy how these brands charge a fortune and then fall apart like that. I had to take mine to a tailor to fix it, and even then it was a hassle. @the_adam your friend is definitely not alone in that!

Oh man, that $250 jacket thing stings. I bought a pair of boots for $180 last fall and the heel literally popped off on the third wear. Not even like a little wobble, just full on snapped off while I was walking to the bus. I had to go to a cobbler and pay another $40 to get them fixed, and the guy said the glue they used was basically just cheap craft glue. It's wild how you pay premium prices and get bargain bin quality these days. Like, I get that brands need to make money, but at least make the zippers and seams hold up for a few months, you know? Your tailor story sounds like the exact same kind of headache I went through.
