Overheard a college kid say brand apologies are 'just content now' and it hit me differently

I was waiting for coffee last Tuesday and this group was talking about how they don't even read apology statements anymore, they just scroll to see if the video is funny. Made me wonder if we've totally lost the idea that brands should actually mean what they say, or if that's just how things go now.

Next they're gonna have apology AI that auto generates a new one each week. Probably already exists tbh. Just another part of the social media circus at this point.

Wonder what happens when the AI apology algorithm clashes with the outrage algorithm though. Like a feedback loop of pretending to be sorry and pretending to be mad forever.
