My worst week was last March when that oatmeal brand did the tone deaf influencer trip

I was following along with the whole Grainful brand drama where they sent a bunch of influencers to a luxury resort while their customers were complaining about price hikes. The apology video came out and it was just the CEO reading a script with no eye contact. Felt like I was watching a car crash in slow motion over three days. Has anyone else noticed how these brand apologies always miss the actual problem?

That whole mess was just a perfect example of how brands will spend big on looking fancy instead of just fixing the core problem, like how my local deli remodeled the dining area but kept serving stale bagels.

Ever had to deal with a landlord who painted the hallway but wouldn't fix the leaky pipes? That's basically what your deli did. Next time, call them out directly on social media with a photo of the stale bagel and the remodel. It forces them to either fix the food or admit they care more about looks. I've gotten free meals that way from places that actually listened. If they don't respond, take your business somewhere that respects your money enough to serve fresh stuff.
