My barber in Sacramento changed my mind about that Wendy's apology tweet, and I hate that he was right
I was getting a cut last Friday and my barber Marcus brought up that Wendy's tweet from a few months back where they joked about their dynamic pricing thing getting leaked. I had ranted online for days that it was a fake apology and a total PR stunt. He said he works a register at a hardware store on weekends, and when he messes up he would rather hear a joke than a robot reading a legal script. That hit me because I have been mad at brands for sounding like robots, then mad when they sound like people too. Where is the line for you all, does a joke count as owning it or is it just dodging?
