I bought a $30 'apology' coffee mug from a brand that messed up my order
So this clothing company sent me the wrong size jacket, and their fix was to email a coupon for a free mug from their store. I figured why not, and picked one that said 'Oops, our bad!' as a joke. It arrived last Tuesday, and the handle broke off the first time I washed it. Now I'm stuck with a broken mug and a jacket that doesn't fit. Has anyone else gotten a weird 'sorry' gift that just made things worse?

Right, thirty dollars to make a mug that breaks instantly. That price tag makes me think they spent twenty nine dollars on marketing and packaging to look fancy, and fifty cents on the actual ceramic.

That mug cost them thirty dollars to make?

It's the same with a lot of stuff now. You pay for the brand name and the feeling, not the thing itself. I've seen simple cotton t-shirts that cost eighty bucks just because of the logo on the front.
