Took me 2 years to realize I was loading the dishwasher wrong.
My wife finally pointed it out. All my bowls were facing down. She said food traps water. I thought it was common sense to face them down so stuff doesn't land on the eating surface. Now I feel like an idiot. Anyone else have a kitchen habit they had to unlearn?

Hearing you say "I feel like an idiot" hit home. I did the exact same thing with bowls for years. My wife finally showed me the puddle under each one. Felt so dumb. Then she told me I was loading spoons wrong too. Apparently they all need to alternate directions. Not just dropped in the basket. I swear these little rules hide from you until someone points them out.
