TIL I was reading the Bothell city council meeting minutes all wrong for 8 months
I go to almost every Bothell Community Board meeting and I always skimmed the minutes after, thinking I was keeping up. Then 6 months ago a neighbor asked me why I voted against the crosswalk on 102nd Ave and I had no clue what she meant. Turns out the minutes list motions under the person who moved them, not the person who spoke about them, so I kept mixing up who was on which side of every issue. I started bringing a notebook and writing down names as people talk now, and it's night and day. Does anyone else have a trick for keeping track of who said what during public comment?
