Pro tip: using a binder clip to hold my router in place actually fixed my wifi dead zone

I kept losing signal in my back office at home in Bothell. Tried moving the router around, even got a cheap extender that did nothing. Then I clipped a small binder clip to the edge of my desk and wedged the router's antenna through it so it points upward at a better angle. Now I get full bars in that room. Has anyone else found a simple household item that fixed a tech problem?

Wait wait, you GRABBED the antenna with a binder clip to hold it up? That's actually genius but also terrifying, like are we sure it's not gonna snap something off in there? I've never even thought about physically bending or propping up an antenna with office supplies, that feels like some next level McGyver stuff right there.

Next level McGyver stuff" is the nicest way anyone's ever described my chaotic energy tbh 😂 but seriously tho I've done this exact thing with a paperclip and it worked fine, I just went slow and prayed to the wifi gods nothing snapped.
