Just realized I was using the wrong tool for trimming my raised garden beds all along

I spent 3 summers hacking at my cedar planter boxes with a regular handsaw, cussing every time the wood split. Last week a neighbor saw me and said, why aren't you using a Japanese pull saw? I grabbed one for $25 at the hardware store and it cut through like butter in 2 minutes flat. No more splintered edges or wasted wood pieces. Has anyone else had that moment where one simple tool swap saved you hours of frustration?

Honestly that "cut through like butter" part hit home for me.

Oh, I know exactly what you mean. I remember doing some yard work last summer and that old pair of shears had me wrestling with every branch. Finally got a proper sharp pair and it was like night and day, just sliced right through without any effort at all. Made me wonder why I put up with the struggle for so long.

Right? The way they described it just gets the feeling across perfectly. I've never seen anyone put it quite like that before.
