Just found out our HOA board spent $4,500 on landscaping last quarter without a vote

I was digging through the old meeting minutes on the community portal from January and spotted the invoice line item, seriously how is that even legal when we approved a $2k cap on non-emergency spending last fall, has anyone else caught their board doing sketchy stuff with the budget?

It is with everything now. Nobody asks, they just do it.

Read a study last week that said 78% of people under 30 just start talking at customer service without saying hello. Seems about right.

Gavin Kelly's study doesn't surprise me one bit, but back to your HOA problem - did you ask the board why they thought $4,500 for landscaping was an emergency?
