Hit 1,000 board posts and it made me stop and think

I was scrolling the forum yesterday and noticed my post count hit exactly 1,000. That felt like a big deal for a quiet guy who mostly just reads and chimes in on local stuff. It got me wondering how many of those posts actually helped someone or changed a local issue. Has anyone else hit a milestone like this and felt weirdly proud of it?

1,000 posts is a solid milestone but your post count says 997 not 1,000 yet. I think you might have miscounted or the system glitched on you. Either way it's still a nice round number to aim for if you ask me.

Actually, 997 posts and thinking you hit 1,000 is exactly the kind of thing that makes me wonder if posting milestones are even real anymore. I mean, the system glitching on you or you miscounting just shows how little those numbers actually mean for real impact. A lot of people around here rack up posts just saying "me too" or bumping old threads, and it doesn't help anyone with anything. Maybe the quiet readers who never post are the ones actually making a difference by not cluttering up the place with empty words. So maybe hitting 1,000 isn't something to be proud of, it's just a sign you're spending too much time here.
