Fixed the Bothell community board sign after it got knocked down by a truck
Honestly, the sign by the library entrance was bent out of shape for like 3 weeks after that delivery truck scraped it back in June. I grabbed some wrenches and a level from my garage and straighted it out myself last Saturday. The bolts were rusted so I swapped in stainless ones from Ace Hardware on Main Street for $8. Has anyone else noticed other signs around town needing some TLC?

You seen that leaning sign on 102nd lately? Man, that's a bummer, especially after someone already tried to help with zip ties and it just gave up again. Totally get what you mean about driving past it every day and thinking 'I should fix that' - that's exactly how I felt about the library sign for weeks before I finally grabbed my tools.

My neighbor Karen told me about the crosswalk sign on 102nd near the QFC that's been leaning sideways since that windstorm back in March. She said a kid from her son's school tried to fix it with zip ties, and it lasted maybe two days before falling apart again. The city put up a temporary orange flag on it, but it's just flapping around now and looks kind of sad. I feel like someone with actual tools could sort it out in 20 minutes, like you did with the library sign. It's one of those things where you drive past it every day and think "someone should fix that," then realize that someone could honestly be you.

I saw something online about that sign actually. Someone posted a photo of it on the neighborhood Facebook page and people were just ripping into the city for taking forever. I remember one comment said they called the city twice about it and got put on hold for 20 minutes both times. It's wild how such a SIMPLE fix just sits there because nobody from the city has the time or energy to drive out with a wrench.
