Can we talk about how I was folding fitted sheets totally backward for 30 years?

I watched my roommate do it last week and it hit me - I'd been stuffing corners into wrong pockets this whole time. Now my linen closet actually looks normal instead of a wrinkled disaster zone. Has anyone else had that sudden 'oh no' moment with basic household stuff?

and the trick is you gotta tuck the corners into themselves first before you even start folding, that's what got me. once you get that down you can basically roll the whole thing into a neat little square without fighting it. my closet went from looking like a sheet monster exploded to actually being able to grab one without wrestling it.

and that's the thing, right? I did the exact same thing with my sheets for years. I was shoving the corner into the pocket that was supposed to be for the other side, and wondering why the whole thing looked like a crumpled paper bag. I finally watched a YouTube video from my sister's phone and had to sit down for a minute. My linen closet has never been the same, but at least the fitted sheets actually lie flat now instead of looking like they fought the dryer and lost.
