TIL my monstera was actually three separate plants in one pot

Pulled the whole thing out to repot last weekend and found three distinct root balls tangled together. After 18 months of growth in a standard 10 inch pot from Lowe's, they'd basically fused into one mess. Has anyone else split a multi-plant pot like this and regretted it or did yours thrive?

Three smaller pairs of leggings? That's some reverse garment engineering right there. Sounds like a weasel in a trenchcoat situation.
