TIL a weird trick with coffee grounds for my fiddle leaf fig
My fiddle leaf fig in the living room was getting those brown spots on the leaves, and I read that it might need more acid in the soil. I started mixing about a quarter cup of my used coffee grounds into the top inch of soil every other week (instead of just tossing them). After a month, the new leaves came in totally green and spot-free. Has anyone else tried this with other houseplants that like acidic soil?

Wow, I always thought that was just an old wives' tale! Gonna try this on my peace lily now.

But is it really that big of a deal if you don't do it?

My neighbor John Cooper's peace lily is proof this stuff works.
