The way people water their snake plants drives me nuts

I swear every other post I see on here shows someone drowning a snake plant in a pot with no drainage. I had to rescue my neighbor's plant last week after she was giving it a half cup of water every single day. The roots were literally mush on day 12 when she finally asked me to look at it. How do you even let a plant that thrives on neglect get that bad?

A little water never hurt nobody if the pot has good drainage.

Two droopy succulents came right back after I eased up on watering, @wright.lisa.

Wait, you're saying too much water actually fixed the droop? Most people drown their succulents but you had the opposite problem. That's wild honestly. I let mine dry out completely between waterings and they still look sad sometimes. Maybe I need to switch up my whole routine.
