My uncle's watering advice nearly killed my pothos in Phoenix
My uncle swore plants want water every single day, no exceptions. He said 'if the soil looks dry, pour more' and I followed that for two weeks straight in June. My pothos drooped, the leaves turned yellow, and the roots were basically mush when I finally pulled it out. Turns out he was thinking of his cactus collection, not a tropical vine. Has anyone else gotten plant advice from a relative that made things worse?

Wait, he thought a pothos was basically a cactus? That's like feeding a fish like a hamster, oh my god. The daily watering thing would kill pretty much anything in Phoenix, even the tough stuff.
