My sad clearance orchid from Kroger finally threw out 2 new roots after 4 months of doing nothing
I grabbed a discounted phalaenopsis at the Kroger on 5th back in March for $4.99, all its roots were brown and mushy and the leaves were floppy. I repotted it in a chunky bark mix, put it by an east window, and basically ignored it except for a weekly soak. Checked it yesterday and there are 2 fat green root tips poking out, plus a new leaf that's bigger than the last one. Has anyone had luck getting a clearance orchid to rebloom after a rescue like this, or do they just sort of survive forever without flowers?
