My jade plant survived a 3 week blackout, then got attacked by a squirrel
Last month in Portland we had that crazy windstorm that knocked our power out for 20 days. I had this jade plant on my balcony that I forgot to bring inside, figured it was a goner. When the lights came back I found it droopy but alive, so I moved it next to the kitchen window to perk it up. Then two mornings ago I walk in and half the branches are snapped off, leaves scattered everywhere. There's a fat squirrel sitting on the sill staring at me like it's my fault. I checked my security camera and this little dude spent 15 minutes yanking on the stems, probably thirsty after the dry spell. I've kept plants for 6 years and never had a critter go after a succulent before. Has anyone else had squirrels wreck their indoor plants when they get desperate? What did you do to keep them off?

Maybe the squirrel knew what it was doing, pruning that plant could actually make it grow back stronger.
