My big blunder with overwatering peace lilies
For years I killed peace lilies within months. I figured they needed constant moisture so I watered them every other day without fail. Finally one drooped so bad I googled it and found out they actually need to dry out between waterings. I cut back to once a week and now the one I have is thriving after 8 months. Has anyone else made this same mistake with houseplants and found a plant that changed your whole watering routine?

Oh come on @alex_johnson, overwatering is a right of passage! You gotta learn the hard way what droopy leaves mean.

Right, @grace_allen is totally right, it's like a badge of honor. My first peace lily looked like it was trying to do a sad impression of a weeping willow for a month straight. I was so proud of that plant and I basically drowned it with love. Now I just poke my finger in the dirt and if it's dry, then we talk about watering. Any tips for not killing a snake plant, because that one's next on my list?
