Hit 50 different houseplant species in my living room today!

I accidentally crossed the 50 species mark last week when my propagated Hoya finally rooted! It was my 3rd attempt and seeing those tiny roots told me I didn't need fancy grow lights or special soil, just patience and a south facing window.

How'd you verify each one down to species level?

Have to ask though, are you sure all 50 are actually different species and not just different varieties of the same plant? I see a lot of people online counting a marble queen pothos and a golden pothos as two different species when they're really just different looks of the same one. Same with snake plants and their many cultivars. Not trying to rain on your parade, but I'd double check your IDs if I were you. Some of those things get mislabeled at nurseries all the time too, I got a "rare" philodendron once that was just a common heartleaf.

Wait, are you thinking the marble queen and golden pothos are the same species? They're actually both Epipremnum aureum, just different cultivars of it, so you're right they aren't separate species, but the snake plant thing is a bit off too since a lot of those different ones like Dracaena trifasciata and Dracaena angolensis are genuinely distinct species. @charlie_ellis can probably back me up on that.
