Heard a kid call a dandelion a 'sun clock' and it stuck with me

I was walking through the park near my school last Tuesday and heard this little girl point at a dandelion and say it tells time when the sun hits the petals. Her mom laughed it off but I stood there thinking about how we lose that kind of wonder as adults. I now stop and look at the dandelions in my yard before I pull them. Has anyone else had a random comment from a kid change how you see a plant?

Oh yeah, a kid once called mushrooms "umbrellas for bugs" and now I can't unsee it.

Right, that's one of those things that just sticks with you once you hear it. Kids see the world in a way we totally forget how to as adults. I can't look at a mushroom the same way again either now.
