A retired landscaper in my neighborhood said I was babying my soil too much and it kinda stuck with me
He told me I was overworking the garden bed like a nervous parent and that roots need some struggle to grow deep, but now I'm wondering if he was right or just old school - has anyone else heard this advice from an older gardener?
