That Instagram growth service account had 50k followers and zero real comments

I was hunting for a local tradesperson to help with a warehouse move and kept seeing this one account pop up with insane numbers. Finally clicked through and every single comment was either one emoji or pure gibberish, like 'nice work friend' from accounts with no profile pics. Took me about 4 hours across two nights to actually audit the follower list and spot the pattern: all follows were from accounts created on the same day back in March, and then I did the math on the engagement rate. Has anyone else run into these fake follower farms that hide behind generic business pages before hiring someone?
