My Profile Hit 50,000 Views and Almost Every Comment Came From the Same 12 Accounts
So I posted a rant video about fake giveaway pages and it got picked up somewhere. Woke up to 50,000 views on my little page with 400 followers. Weird right. Started reading the comments and the same 12 accounts were replying to each other over and over. Same typing style too. No typos, perfect punctuation, every sentence ending in a period. Real people on my page leave stuff like 'lol what' and 'bro same'. These accounts wrote paragraphs. I clicked about 20 profiles and half of them had the exact same bio line about being a 'passionate content creator'. Joined here because I want to know if I'm being paranoid. Does 12 accounts pushing a video to 50k sound like a bot ring to you? And is there a tool that flags commenters who reply to each other too much?
Did your video get shared in some group where they all hang out? My buddy had this happen last year, same twelve-ish accounts camped on his posts for like a week, then poof, gone. He never found a tool but he did notice they all replied to each other within minutes, which normal people never do.
Twelve accounts replying to each other within minutes sounds less like a hate group and more like one guy with twelve tabs open and too much free time. @caleb_ross12 your buddy basically got haunted by a very committed loser for a week, then the ghost just clocked out. At least you know it's not personal, someone's just really bored.
