Hit 500 followers and half of them vanished overnight

I passed 500 followers on my art account Tuesday, then by Thursday morning over 200 had unfollowed with zero new follows, so is this normal bot cleanup or did I get flagged somehow?

You ever figure it was just the algorithm purging bots, until it happens to your own account? I used to think those huge drop-offs were always spam accounts getting cleaned out, but then I lost about 150 in a week last year and my engagement tanked for a month. Turns out I got flagged for using a third party scheduling app that did automated follows, even though I paid for it. So yeah, it's not always bots, sometimes it's the platform punishing you for something you didn't even know was a rule.
