Can we talk about how I stopped trusting verified badges after that blue check account in Denver posted 47 pics in 2 hours?
Six months ago I would've bet money a profile with a verified badge and 12k followers was real, but now I check the comment section first because that bot farm kept replying to its own posts with the exact same heart emoji 47 times in a row.
Stopped caring about badges the second I saw one of those Denver accounts posting 47 pics in two hours like that's normal human behavior. Verified just means somebody paid or got lucky, it says nothing about whether a real person is behind it. Scroll down to the comments and you'll see the same heart emoji spam forty times from twelve "different" accounts that all joined the same week. That bot farm replying to itself is the tell every single time. Once you spot that pattern you can't unsee it. Badges are a joke now and I trust a random account with 200 followers way more than some blue check with 12k bots.
