A buddy swore this SEO tool would double my traffic... it didn't
This guy I know from a marketing meetup in Austin kept pushing this AI content generator called AutoWriterPro. Said it would crank out blog posts that rank instantly and save me 10 hours a week. So I paid $50 for a month, let it write 5 posts for my site about fixing old motorcycles... and not one cracked page 10 on Google. The writing was full of weird phrases no real person would use. Has anyone else tried a tool that promised big results but just wasted your time and money?

I used to fall for the same kind of thing, honestly. I remember thinking "if it saves me time, it's gotta be worth it" until I ran a few articles through one of those tools and the writing was so robotic it actually hurt my site's bounce rate. Changed my mind real fast after seeing real results from just typing stuff out myself.

Funny enough, @emma_clark, the same thing happened to me with a recipe blog - the directions were so stiff I couldn't figure out if "add butter" meant microwave it or use a stick. Guess robots don't grasp the finer points of cooking.
