Spent 5 hours on a Coptic stitch repair in Portland and finally figured out why my signatures kept popping
Turns out I was pulling my kettle stitch way too tight at the head, which was pinching the spine and stressing every link. A guy at the book arts guild meeting in Portland last Thursday showed me a looser wrap and the whole thing laid flat for the first time, has anyone else dealt with this on older text blocks?
