The $34 'Book Club Discussion Guide' was 12 pages of fluff
Our group bought that official companion guide for our July read and it was mostly character name lists and filler questions like 'how did this scene make you feel?', so we wasted a whole meeting circling nothing, has anyone else gotten burned by these overpriced guides?

Yeah, that stinks when you shell out money for something meant to help and it just wastes everyone's time. Sounds like your group was better off talking about the book itself than that guide.
