I spent $30 on a second copy of our book club pick and it was totally worth it

Our group chose a book with tiny print, and after a week of squinting, I bought the large print edition online. I finished it in half the time and actually enjoyed the story instead of fighting the pages. Has anyone else ever bought a different format of a book just to get through a tough read?

Totally get that. Did the same thing with an audiobook for a dense classic, just to hear someone else say the words. Sometimes you just need a different door into the story.

Audiobooks got me through some long drives last year. Henrycooper is right about needing a different door in. The narrator's voice can make all the difference.
