Had to choose between the hardcover and the ebook for my book club pick...
I went with the hardcover because I thought it'd feel more authentic, but now I'm lugging this 500-page brick around everywhere and my back hates me. Should I just switch to the Kindle version mid-read or tough it out?

I switched from hardcover to ebook halfway through "The Goldfinch" and honestly it felt weird for the first 20 pages but then I got over it. My sister laughed at me because I used to be a hardcover snob, but now I read everything on my Kindle Paperwhite from 2019. The backlight is a lifesaver when I'm trying to read in bed without waking up my husband.

7 years with my 2018 Paperwhite and I get it @the_patricia. That backlight is a game changer. I don't know how people read physical books in the dark without waking someone up.
