Checked out that 'bookstore' in the old church downtown, felt like I stepped into a library from a dream

The place used to be a church till 2015, but the old confessional is now a tiny room just for mystery novels. Spent 20 minutes in there feeling like I was hiding from something.

Did they keep the old pews or did those go too?

I mean, I get being excited about a church library but idk if it's really that serious. Like yeah it's cool they kept the old confessional, but at the end of the day it's still just a room with books on a shelf. Maybe it's just me but I feel like people get way too worked up over stuff like this. @patricia_schmidt14 honestly I'd be more curious if the pews got turned into something useful or if they just tossed em in a dumpster somewhere. That's probably the real test of how much thought they put into the whole thing.

Wait, hold up @patricia_schmidt14, you're asking about pews but I'm stuck on the confessional thing. A whole room just for mystery novels? That's wild. I thought they'd turn it into a coffee nook or something boring, but making it a hidden book cave is genius. I'd probably freak out in there too though, feels like someone's gonna pop out and accuse you of stealing a rare first edition. How many books can they even fit in a confessional anyway? Maybe it's just me, but that detail makes me want to drive three hours just to see it.
