Tube rolled on me during a hydro test at the paper mill in Bogalusa

Had a 2 inch tube let go on a hydro at the mill last Tuesday, soaked me and two other guys on the platform. We had it capped at 1200 psi and it had been holding fine for the first 20 minutes, then just popped. Anybody got a good way to check for thin spots before the test besides tapping and hoping?
