Talked to an old timer at the hall yesterday who said he never uses an angle grinder for beveling tube ends - prefers a hand file and steady arm

I always thought power tools were the only way to go for prep work but he showed me how his hand-filed joints have never leaked in 40 years and now I'm wondering if I've been making things too complicated, anyone else ever try going old school on fit-up?

Oh man, I went from mangling my prep work with a dull knife to feeling like a pro (well, mostly just fewer band-aids involved).
