Man, I totally get this. I used to see safety stuff as just another boring box to check, you know? But when the team actually started talking about real problems and fixing them together, it all clicked. That change from just listening to rules to actually working as a group is huge. It makes you want to watch out for each other, not just avoid getting in trouble.

Tbh, that shift turns safety into something everyone owns, not just management. You see guys pointing out risks they'd have ignored before because the team culture supports it. That's how you build a place where people actually feel looked after.
