Found the real reason my old employer's welds kept failing
I was reading through an old NDT report from that refinery job outside Baton Rouge, and it showed 80% of the rejections came from one specific wire spool lot. The funny part is we blamed the new hire for weeks when it was a bad batch from the supplier. Has anyone else tracked down a mystery defect to a single material batch, or did we get lucky with the timing?

That spool was tested before it left the mill though.
