Everyone says eyeballing pipe fit is fine. I called them out at the plant picnic.

At our annual picnic, the talk turned to work methods. I said relying on sight for pipe alignment is risky. They laughed, but I told them about a time it caused a leak. It got awkward when the boss agreed with me. Now they double-check their work.

Appreciate you saying that. See too many people rushing or cutting corners on basic stuff, like not checking their car mirrors or skipping safety gear for quick tasks. Staying watchful even when you're tired or in a hurry is huge. Taking that extra second really does make a difference, so it totally makes sense.
